Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate an other than full and open competition basis with GENSCRIPT USA INCORPORATED, 860 CENTENNIAL AVE, PISCATAWAY, NJ, 08854, United States, to procure MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AND PLASMIDS SERVICES.
The Laboratory of Immunogenetics (LIG) focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the signaling functions in immune cells. The LIG has recently expanded its focus to include work on developing novel vaccine candidates against different infectious diseases including COVID-19. These monoclonal antibodies and plasmids can be used to design new vaccine candidates and be tested for the ability to prevent the COVID-19 infection. These antibody and plasmid services are necessary to identify and design vaccine candidates against COVID-19. The Antibody Biology Unit (ABU) of the Laboratory of Immunogenetics (LIG), in furtherance of its mission to advance our knowledge of human B cells and isolation of monoclonal antibodies requires a service that provides custom Gene to Antibodies, plasmid heavy chain, and plasmid light chain preparation. These custom antibody and plasmid services can be used to design new vaccine candidates against COVID-19. The ABU has been using GenScript for custom gene to antibody, and this is continuation of a master project that requires some additional work. Continuity is required to retain comparison of results.
