Web Based Database with Economic Forecasts of Commodities (Commodity Price Forecasts & Analysis)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quote. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The United States Coast Guard intends to award a sole source delivery order to IHS Global Inc. (dba as IHS Markit) to provide web based database with economic forecasts of commodities (Commodity Price Forecasts & Analysis) for CG-9. The Web based data base product code is 2000011596, Pricing & Purchasing Service - North American Prices Module. The delivery order is to be placed against IHS Global Inc. (dba as IHS Markit)’s FEDLINK contract. The duration of this delivery order will be for one year from date of award. This delivery order will be made utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13.

Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
