INDUSTRY DAY: NAVAL INNOVATION CENTER & NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL MODERNIZATION

The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide an INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT or a Request for Proposals. No proposals will be accepted as a result of this announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with attending this Industry Day or providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests should there be any.

The following information is provided below. Interested parties can register and find additional information regarding this Industry Day by clicking on the QR Code in the attachment.

NAVFAC SW is pleased to extend to you an official invitation to the Naval Innovation Center & Naval Postgraduate School Modernization Industry Day scheduled for Tuesday, 10 September 2024 from 0900‐1600 PST in-person at Naval Support Activity Monterey, King Hall.  A virtual attendance option is NOT being offered.

Please confirm and prepare for your attendance by completing these two steps:

1. Register at the event page via the QR code in the attached event flyer.  We request limiting your company’s attendance to 2-3 senior executives.
2. Complete the attached Base Access Form and send no later than 27 August via encrypted email to:  navfac_sw_industry_day@us.navy.mil

Hosted by NAVFAC SW, Naval Support Activity Monterey and Naval Postgraduate School, this event is free to attend. The purpose of this event is to:

• Share information with industry of upcoming construction opportunities at NSAM / NPS
• Convey NAVFAC's current plan for acquisition approach
• Discuss logistical and location specific challenges
• Discuss contractor feedback and Government actions taken or planned
• Seek additional industry feedback on how Government and industry can partner for mutual benefit and ultimate mission success

Agenda for the Industry Day includes:

1. Welcome and introductions
2. Overview panel for NPS Modernization Program and Naval Innovation Center (NIC)
3. Panel discussion for planning, design, construction and acquisition strategy
4. Site walk of the modernization area of campus and future site of the NIC.
