Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), to provide Support Technical services to test #2 and #3 Warping Capstan Static Bit and Torsion Test. The required items are for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 12, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.

Prospective bidders are required to be authorized Technician by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or sufficient technical experience. The personnel provided for this contract shall possess qualifications that satisfy the minimum guidelines for OEM.

The requirement Full and Open Competition. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 336611. The Product Service Code is L020.

The subject requirement is in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard's (NNSY) Propulsion Engineering, Code C268. Contractor to accomplish Static Bit and Torsion Testing of #2 and #3 Warping Capstan aboard LHD Class Vessel. Warping Capstan is Electric, 2-Speed 50/100 FPM, Pull 25,000/12,500 pounds. Manufacture Oldenburg Group Inc. ID# 5D3-01814 NSN: 3950-01-262-3115. The contractor is to provide all material and equipment necessary for successful testing of #2 and #3 Warping Capstan IAW Specifications.

The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to begin on Date of Award to October 31, 2022. The contract will include the option to extend services up to an additional six months in accordance with FAR clause 52.217-8, Option for Additional Services. The total anticipated contract period of performance is one (1) month.
