Tactical Edition End User Devices and Handheld radios

This is a Request for Information (RFI). This notice is for informational purposes only; a solicitation will not be issued at this time. No contract will be awarded on the basis of quotes received in response to this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519 with a small business size standard of 150 Employees. The Government has a potential requirement for Tactical Edition (TE) End User Devices (EUDs) and Handheld radios with the following characteristics:   

TE EUD Salient Features:

• Android OS 6.0 (API 21) or later
• Compatibility with MIL-STD protective cases configured for Molle body armor mounts
• Operability with US Army Watchtower CRSSTALK server
• Ability to be delivered with software and enhanced Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) [WITHOUT rooting]
• National Security Agency (NSA) Commercial Solutions for Classified (CsFC) accredited image
• DoD tactical radio and peripheral drivers
• Ability to store classified data at rest

Handheld Radio Salient Features:

• Wave Relay radio
• Multi-voltage ability
• Handheld (approximately 6H X 3W X 2D inches)
• Ability to communicate with USAF Man Transportable Robot System (MTRS) and T7TM robotics platforms.

Additional Objectives:

• TAK compatible
• Internet Accessible

Market research has determined that Samsung and Persistent Systems are the only brand name manufacturers that can provide TE EUDs and radios that meet the above characteristics.
