Description

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirements (SABER) Request for Information on Draft Statement of Work.

The 4th Contracting Squadron (4 CONS) requests information in preparation of requirement and solicitation development for a SABER Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) task-order contract for a U.S. Air Force Base located in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

No solicitation is being issued at this time. This is not a Sources Sought Notice; however, eligible contractors may provide information to the point of contact below for the Agency’s future market research consideration. The purpose of this notice is merely to gain feedback from the industry pertaining to the draft Statement of Work in effort to clarify and strengthen requirement definition in preparation of future source seeking and solicitation efforts. Similarly, this is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB), and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result. The U.S. Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by parties responding to this notice/request. Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or drawings, will be made available only on the SAM website (https://sam.gov).

4 CONS anticipates the future SABER requirement to be executed through an IDIQ contract from which individual, firm-fixed-price task orders would be issued to a Prime Contractor for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work. It is anticipated the IDIQ will entail a five (5) year ordering period estimated at overall value estimated at $35,000,000 with individual task orders ranging between $2,000 and $5,000,000. The Prime Contractor would furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish the project in accordance with applicable U.S. Air Force Standards. The individual task orders would vary in size and include a variety of trades such as carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, welding, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), asbestos removal, etc.

Industry partners may submit this information to Mr. Jeremy Hebb via email at jeremy.hebb.1@us.af.mil prior to 4:30 PM EST, Friday, 25 March 2022.
