Description
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a potential need for a state licensed armed security guard (DOL labor Category 27102 – Guard II) in the state of Indiana. As part of our market research, we are seeking input from qualified interested firms, particularly but not not exclusively firms qualified for FAR Part 19 socioeconomic programs, to determine if enough competition exists for a possible FAR Part 19 set-aside. Firms not qualified for a FAR Part 19 program may respond. In accordance with FAR Part 26.202-1 this opportunity is reserved for qualified firms meeting the definition of Local Firm in FAR 52.226-3. All federal contractors are required to be registered in the Federal government System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and not be on an exclusions list; all entities not currently registered are encouraged to contact their local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) or Small Business Administration (SBA) office for registration assistance.
The local area for this requirement is defined as the Indiana counties of Allen, Benton, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Johnson, Lake, Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Sullivan, and White. Temporary facilities may be located in any or all of the listed counties. Temporary facilities may be in operation for as little as one month or as many as twelve months with one to three months typical. It should be noted that the primary work location lies outside the designated disaster area, in Marion County (City of Indianapolis).
Interested firms should send email with “Armed Guard Services FEMA DR-4704-IN” in the subject line to raymond.lucas@fema.dhs.gov before 1:00 PM Eastern time Thursday April 20 2023. No contract or agreement is guaranteed. List company name, SAM Unique Entity Identification number (UEI; do not submit DUNS), address of principal office, phone number and email address, and FAR Part 19 socioeconomic category if applicable, and a statement certifying the firm is located withing the disaster area specified.
