Presolicitation - Bay Island Flood Repairs in Mercer County, Illinois

This is a pre-solicitation notice.  The Government anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for the project known as: Bay Island Flood Repairs.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This requirement is for Bay Island Drainage and Levee District No. 1, 2023 Event Flood Repairs located in Mercer County, Illinois.  The Repairs will consist of placing riprap in some areas by barge and reshaping existing sand in others and tree clearing and grubbing.

In accordance with DFARS 236.204(i), the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using the NAICS Code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction), the size standard is $45M, and the Federal Supply Code is Y1QA Construction of Restoration of Real Property (Public or Private).

The solicitation will proceed as an IFB, Competitive, 100% Small Business Set-Aside and is estimated to be issued on or about 8-May-2024 with bids due tentatively on 7-June-2024.   The IFB will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as https://SAM.gov and will establish a firm bid due date/time.

If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation.
