6515--Sources Sought: HEPA Air Pump for Air-Assisted Devices

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 and its small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL has the requirement for HEPA Air Pump for Air-Assisted Devices. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can meet the description and salient characteristics on a brand name or equal basis (Stryker Sage Prevalon Air Pump): CLIN Item Description Qty Unit 0001 7455 Prevalon Air Pump (2.5) 43 EA 0002 7485 Prevalon Bed Hook 43 EA Description: The HEPA-equipped Prevalon pump is the only air pump system with a HEPA-equipped filter that reduces the risk of spreading airborne contaminants and promotes patient mobility. The Prevalon falls within the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control mandates that states that protective environments, airborne and isolation rooms (AIRS) and operating rooms must have a HEPA filter. The Sage Prevalon Air Pumps aligns with Air Filtration Guidelines while allowing caregivers to continue typical workflow. The Prevalon is also to be used with Sage Prevalon air assisted products only. The product is developed by Stryker and is the only air pump system equipped with a HEPA Filter. Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; Manufacture location; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence from the OEM which authorizes distributor to distribute the OEM s products (if applicable) IAW 852.212-71 Gray Market Items. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation currently exists. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender.
