PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

TAINTER GATE PAINTING (5 – 15)
OZARK LOCK AND DAM
MCCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM
U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE)


W9127S22R0003, Tainter Gate Painting (5 – 15) at Ozark Lock and Dam, will be advertised as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is set at $39,500,000.

This solicitation will be issued utilizing FAR Part 15 as a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be evaluated via the Best Value – Trade Off method and will result in a firm fixed-price construction contract. The Magnitude of Construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00.

This requirement is for painting Tainter gates and incidental related work at the Ozark Lock and Dam. Base Items include blast cleaning, painting, and anode replacement of Tainter gates 5 and 6, along with repair/replacement and miscellaneous grinding and welding of the steel components and flood demobilization. Optional items include the potential to blast clean, paint, and replace anodes on up to nine (9) additional gates and replacement of seal components.

W9127S22R0003 will be issued around January 24, 2022, via Government Point of Entry (GPE), www.sam.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be issued via the GPE as well. It is each offeror’s responsibility to download the solicitation and monitor the site for updates. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation, its attachments, and any amendments after issuance by following the directions below:
