36C24822Q0892 Amendment #1 The following information has been deleted/removed from the Salient Characteristics under the section below: IV. WARRANTY AND SUPPORT The contractor shall provide a Product Specialist who arrives on-site once per year for a period of five (5) years (for a total 5 visits) to perform preventive maintenance on the eleven (11) Howard Medical carts. This service will include a complete 65-point checklist of all electrical and mechanical systems on the carts and the repair of those systems that are under warranty. The Product Specialist will also run a complete check of all related software as well as clean all exterior surfaces of the cart no less than once per year. Contractor shall provide medical facility with a comprehensive report after each maintenance visit detailing work performed, repairs and recommendations for future preventive maintenance and location of each device serviced. The price is based on a five (5) year Service Level Agreement with one (1) visit per year for a total of 5 visits in the life of the contract. Service reports shall be sent to all appropriate points of contact with quarterly aggregate reports. VA Engineering/ Biomedical and OI&T will have full access to the hardware and software that constitute the system, including any diagnostic software features and general administration rights. The VA Engineering/Biomedical and OI&T point of contact must be briefed, by the vendor, on all software upgrades and changes, and agrees to each prior to installation. The vendor shall provide and install manufacturer recommended software upgrades and changes at no additional charge during warranty/contract period. This includes all software on carts or centralized software used to manage carts.
