The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to renovate and repurpose a two-story building and partial basement, at approximately 21,401 sq. ft., into adequate administrative workspace. Also included is a requirement for military telecommunications networking (specifically classified telecommunications cabling and running wires throughout the building). The existing building is currently occupied by another unit that is relocating to another location. The building is constructed of fluted precast concrete panels and is categorized as an administration facility. Recent projects have replaced the existing low-sloped roof and replaced the exterior lights with new LED type fixtures. The renovation will provide efficient and optimized workspace for the customer while enhancing the building's energy efficiency and overall performance in accordance with current applicable codes and standards.

This contract will be Firm-Fixed Price.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $39,500,000.00. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.

This solicitation is 100% Competitive Small Business set-aside.
