RFI: Pool Platform

This announcement constitutes a Request for Information.  This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP).  This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.  The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement.  Any information submitted by respondents to this Request for Information shall be voluntary.

This Request for information is for Market Research purposes only.  The notice and the information received shall not be used to determine how well respondents can perform a requirement, which can only be evaluated in response to a solicitation.  Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Request for Information request. 

This request for information is relative to the NAICS code NAICS Code:  238990 - All Other Specialty Trade Contractors.

Aviano AB, Italy is conducting market research to gather further information regarding a Pool Platform.

• Below are characteristics of the Pool Platform we are requesting information on:

The depth reducing platform should be constructed of material that can withstand decades in salt water without degradation, span the entire width of the pool, and extend approximately half way into the shallow end

Dimensions for the platform are 12800cm x 360cm x 180 cm, reducing depth to 120cm

Platform should be easily disassembled to enable routine pool cleaning

Have a staircase from the depth reducing platform to the pool floor, with colored steps to aid users in identifying each stair
