Description

Staff within the Collections & Services directorate, Law Library, and Congressional Research Service at the Library of Congress use an online bibliographic application. The uses of the bibliographic database service and subscription are to create and maintain bibliographies required for research, for assistance to researchers using the Library of Congress collections (both on and off site), and to create/provide bibliographic guides available from the Library’s website.

The BMSS allows staff to create, store, and share bibliographies used/created for research, subject guides created for Library reading room web sites, for providing information to Congress, for special projects, and for responding to reference questions.

The Library seeks to procure an annual database management service and subscription for up to 50 users currently using this product within Library Services (LS). The software product shall ensure wide accessibility and workflow management, increase the bandwidth of current workflows, allow for innovative, functional capabilities and allow for additional operational features.
