Description

Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) for The Joint Effects Targeting System (JETS) Target Laser Designation System (TLDS) II JETS II Prototyping Phase.

Agency: Department of the Army

Office: Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground

Interested Prime Contractors can request access to view the RPP technical documents.  The document titled ‘JETS II CLIN Pricing Matrix (21Nov22)’ is to be completed and submitted with all proposals no later than the due date identified in this announcement.

November 23, 2022 Notice Update:  The RPP has been revised to incorporate changes to the Distribution Statement.

December 19, 2022 Notice Update:  Questions are no longer accepted.  The RPP has been revised to incorporate answers to all submitted questions and revisions to the RPP, Attachment 1a, Attachment 1b and Attachment 2.  The attachment documents have track changes active so the offerors can easily identify all revisions as a result of the Q&A.  The RPP includes a revision history table at the top of page 3.

January 25, 2023 Notice Update:  Please see two clarifying questions and answers to the Q&A posting.

Question #18 answer seems to indicate that you are expecting PPT ("Qualification of Systems" not only includes PPT but also all Government testing and LogDemo) cost to be included in CLIN 0007 vs CLIN 0001.

SPTD Response: Qualification of Systems includes PPT,  Government testing and LogDemo. This cost shall be captured in the CLIN 0001.

The question #18 response suggests “Scope related to refurbishment of prototype systems upon completion of qualification. Refurbishment will determined by the Government with regard to prototypes being used for additional testing or reworked to become fieldable assets.”  Does CLIN 0007 include the actual PPT scope or just the refurbishment of the systems?

SPTD Response: CLIN 0007 shall not include cost for the actual PPT scope and Government testing support, this cost should be included in CLIN 0001. Refurbishment of Systems is designed to recondition the systems to “production ready” state, for future use in unplanned testing as a result of failures, or future fieldings.

February 01, 2023 Notice Update: The RPP end date has been extended from 02 Feb 2023 to 03 Feb 2023.
