AMENDMENT 1 (11/08/2022): Questions and Responses
Question 1: Do you have stock no. for the items you want to bid?
Answer 1: Specific item numbers are not available as this is not a brand requirement. The Statement of Need includes categories of the types of parts.
Question 2: How much do you spend in supplies?
Answer 2: This will be a non-funded Blanket Purchase Agreement. Individual orders will be placed against it by the authorized users at varying amounts.
Question 3: What is the top 100 items?
Answer 2: Please refer to the categories included within the Statement of Need for types of items needed.
Question 4: How many locations for delivery?
Answer 4: Delivery will be to two locations – Seattle, WA and Newport, OR.
Question 5: How many states?
Answer 5: Delivery will be to two states – Washington and Oregon.
Question 6: How many users will place orders?
Answer 6: There will be 19 authorized users.
Question 7: What is the minimum order size?
Answer 7: Minimum order size is not known, as parts will be used to construct prototype instrumentation. Please specify on your quotation if a minimum order size, quantity, or cost is required.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is being issued as 100% small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 332510, and the business size standard is 750 employees. This is being awarded as a trade off/best value.
This combined synopsis/solicitation is for the purchase of tooling, hardware, raw materials, and commercial components to quickly make prototypes and conduct ocean research and development.
