Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Jesup, Georgia intends to award a government order to the vendor/contractor who can provide the most cost effective means in obtaining three(3) industrial washing machines for the Laundry Department.  These washing machines-extractors will be used for washing of inmate uniforms.  The washing machines need to be able to withstand heavy loads.  The washing performance needs to maximize output to meet the daily workload.  These washers need to be capable of increasing energy efficiency and reduce washing times to help on-premises laundries increase the output, while decreasing operating costs.  The door must have an observation window. When offering your proposal, please include all details regarding the product you are offering to include installation costs and any information on warranties.  (See attached Request for Quotation). Upon completion of the installation, testing and acceptance by the Government, the contractor shall provide operation/maintence manuals for each piece of equipment.  Two copies of any required associated manuals shall also be supplied to the institution. The current make is a UniMac,  All equipment specified in this statment must be brand name or an equal product. The governement retains the right to determine technical acceptance for all submitted.

Deliveries will be made to the Federal Correctional Institution, 2600 HWY 301 SOUTH, JESUP GEORGIA, 31599, between the hours of 7:30am till 3:00pm, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The contract type is a firm fixed price. The conracting officer intends to make this award on an all or none basis.

The Government will award to the responsible quoter whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with price considered equally. All responsible business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. The solicitation will be made available on or about May 04, 2023, and will be posted here to the beta.SAM.gov website: http://beta.sam.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, and award information will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Quotes will be due Friday, May 19, 2023 by 3:00 pm EST. The Government reserves the right to make payment using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Quoters should include their Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAMS) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees’ DUNS number into the SAMS database. Failure to complete this registration procedure outlined in this solicitation, may result in elimination from consideration for award. You should check to see if your registration is still valid and has not expired.  If it has expired, you need to update it to where it shows active again or this could be grounds for elimination from consideration for award.  The point of contact for all information regarding this solicitation is C.
