This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 334510. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking all small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of the following brand name or equally functional requirement. Background: The James J. Peters VAMC s Nuclear Medicine Department requires one (1) patient vitals monitor to be use within its Zone 4 MRI suite for the monitoring of vitals while the patients are undergoing MRI procedures. MR Compatible patient monitors are designed specifically for use in magnetic resonance (MR) environments. The monitor must be able to wirelessly connect and share patient information from transport to monitoring, cardiac gating, and electronic patient record systems. The system must provide flexibility to monitor patients during optimizing protocols up to 4W/kg SAR and 7.2ut B1rms. The facility currently does not have this equipment and therefore cannot offer MRI services to critical patients. Requirement: This is a Brand name or equal requirement to the Philip s Expression MR400. Equally functional equipment must be able to provide the following minimal requirements: MR Zone 4 compatible Mobile and easy to reposition within confined examination rooms without compromising functionality. The latest in technology to eliminate / reduce artifacts in ECG signals due to magnetic interference and vice versa, eliminate / reduce ECG interference in electromagnetic fields. Must be able to properly operate near the magnet. ECG signal and wireless capability backed by an advanced cardiac architecture. Capable of monitoring SpO2, IBP, NIBP, and CO2 / respiration. Capable of monitoring body and other variable surfaces temperatures, MAC values, trends, and perfusion index. Perfusion and diffusion ECG digital gradient filters. Integrated monitor capable of identification and monitoring of dual anesthetic agents. Pre-emptive, programmable, and multi-priority alarms system to include desaturation, extreme brady / tachycardia, and Gauss alarm. Must allow for easy adaptation to individual patient needs. Improved comfort by minimizing physical connectivity to patients in the performance of its functions. Ease of restrictions innate to the placement of this equipment in an MR Zone 4 environment. Capable of wireless, multi-optional IT connectivity (HL7 and serial data) to include the widest possible selection of systems and devices likely to be found in an MR Zone 4 environment. Solutions guided to minimize disruption of information workflow. Large (15 inch or better), easy to read LED touchscreen display to facilitate quick human data acquisition and provide clinical decision support. ECO friendly, emphasis on green design.
