Description

The 773d Enterprise Sourcing Squadron is seeking to acquire electronic access for DoD Libraries to BookFlix, ScienceFlix, FreedomFlix and TrueFlix. BookFlix pairs classic video storybooks with related nonfiction titles to reinforce early reading skills and develop real-world knowledge.  This cultivates key reading skills, supports reluctant readers, and ELL students, and builds fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. FreedomFlix delivers more than 60 multimedia units across 10 core areas of study pertaining to people, places, and events in world history for fourth to sixth grade students. TrueFlix offers dozens of units to supplement social studies and science core curricula learning.  Students improve literacy skills, build content-area knowledge, and cultivate the critical skills necessary for academic success and college and career readiness. ScienceFlix Offering more than 50 complete units of study with over 6500 science-related assets in a variety of media; provides students with a better understanding of science concepts and ideas through hands-on projects, videos, multiple text types, interactive features and more.

Product Characteristics an Equal Item Must Meet to Be Considered:

  1. Must be able to provide content that pairs books with videos and reinforces reading skills, supports reluctant readers and builds fluency.
  2. Must be able to support social studies, history, and science curriculums with material that assist in building content-area knowledge and has content that helps build critical study skills.
  3. Must offer at least 50 study units and 6500 study related assets that cover science in multiple media formats including video, text, and interactive programs.
  4. Must be able to interface with all 4 service branch library and Military OneSource websites using industry standard authentication methods to ensure only eligible patrons can access resources from any internet connected computer browsers and mobile devices.
  5. Must work with contract POC to establish authentication methods to provide optimal accessibility for all eligible patrons.
  6. Security between the Website and server must be Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3.
  7. Must be able to supply or allow retrieval of database usage statistics by Branch of Service (Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Military OneSource/Other, and Navy).
  8. Must have HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) with long duration deployed on the servers to mitigate/prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
  9. Website certificates should be RSA 2048-bits (SHA256withRSA).
