Description
The contractor shall provide the appropriate number and type of cranes with minimum lifting capacity of 10 tons in addition to operators and maintenance personnel, and supplemental lifting equipment as required. Crane services are anticipated to be required for f JPMRC 24-01. Service locations will be provided at MDF Gulch, Wheeler Army Airfield at MGRS 04Q EJ 98698 75058 and 04Q EJ 98882 74981 starting 21 October 2023 thru 05 NOV 2023 from 0900 – 1600 daily and/or as service called. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform services.
Specific services for cranes are to move heavy military vehicles, containers, and trailers that are on specialized platforms on and off transportation vehicles before they are loaded into their respective aircrafts. Crane services are generally limited to lift capabilities below 20,000 lbs. The cranes will be utilized as follows: First, in singularly picking up the vehicles and placing it on the designated 16 Foot Platforms. Second, platforms and vehicles will be pre-staged and once the rigging of the vehicles is complete, the crane will be required to pick up each platform w/ vehicle on a portable scale that will be pre-positioned. The crane will do this for all platforms on ground. Lastly, the crane will be utilized to pick up the loaded platform and place it on top of the designated Military K-loader for it to be loaded onto an aircraft.
