Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.  IAW FAR 6.302-1(a) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - this purchase order is intended to be awarded as a sole source procurement to LI-COR, Inc for the purchase of Odyssey M Near-Infrared Imaging System which provides several functions. The purchase of this equipment also includes a one year plus one extra year of extended warranty. Odyssey M imaging system is a single imaging system designed for a wide range of applications using chemiluminescence, bioluminescence, near-infrared and visible fluorescence. These workflows are widely used in our laboratory and critical to our mission.

LRCMB seeks to replace the existing Li-Cor Odyssey CLx imager with the Odyssey M Imaging System. The current Odyssey CLx imager has been operational for 10 + years and is near its end-of-life.

The Odyssey M Imager is a single imaging system that can perform all of the above applications. This instrument has a small footprint minimizing occupied bench space. The Odyssey M is capable of consistently acquiring and analyzing samples with optimal sensitivity at a high resolution. Considering the versatility, The Odyssey M imager is an economical choice for our lab. In addition, Manufacturer only sells directly and there are no resellers.

b. The proposed action is a brand name only.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all proposals received by the date specified herein will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Interested parties may identify their interest and may submit a quote and/or capability statement by 3:00 PM EST, 27 July 2022, which shall be considered by the Government. Capability statements and quotes shall be sent via email to holleyv@od.nih.gov.
