Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Philadelphia, PA Code 423 manages the 2SCog Program for the U.S. Navy. The 2SCog Program manages the rotatable pool and repair pipeline for U.S. Navy non-nuclear propulsion assets which includes Marine Gas Turbine Engines (MGTEs) used for propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary power on various surface and amphibious platforms.

NSWCPD has an upcoming requirement for the repair and overhaul of various U.S. Navy LM2500 MGTEs. The U.S. Navy LM2500 MGTEs were designed and manufactured by General Electric (GE).

In preparation for the upcoming requirement, NSWCPD will be releasing an Industry Day Brief for Contractors that possess a current GE Level IV license, on or before 31 March 2023.

Contractors will gain the following by participating:

  • Overview of Forecasted Requirements
  • Accessory Configuration Upgrade Requirements
  • U.S. Navy Testing Requirements
  • Reporting Requirements/Timeline

The purpose of the Industry Day Brief is to assist the Government in the following:

  • Industry Base and Interest
  • Capabilities/Capacities
  • Repair-Turn-Around-Time (RTAT)

Although the brief will be static, NSWCPD is requesting and encouraging questions to be submitted regarding the LM2500 MGTE requirement NLT 10 March 2023. Questions and Answers will be incorporated into the brief and provided anonymously.
