*** Only the 8(a) Design-Build (DB)/Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for Hampton Roads contract holders for contract numbers N4008523D0030/0031/0032/0033/0034/0035/0036/0037/0038 can provide a proposal in response to this project.****Description of the Work: P1137U constructs a low rise O2N2 Gas Shop addition to existing building SP-301 O2N2 Gas Shop and a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Holding Shed on Naval Station Norfolk. The project scope is based on the requirements for Intermediate Level Maintenance facilities to help further resolve deficiencies for supporting the Navys CMV-22B aircraft. The project supports the transition plan for the carrier onboard delivery, to shift to the CMV-22B from their current airframe, C-2 Greyhound. The O2N2 Gas Shop must be significantly improved to accommodate the arrival of the CMV-22B aircraft. The O2N2 Gas Shop addition to building SP-301 must provide 2715 SF of additional O2N2 shop area to support total aircraft loading for both Naval Station Norfolk and Naval Air Station Oceana including the CMV-22B aircraft. The O2N2 Gas Shop addition will include areas for a converter and component shop and test lab, exterior open covered storage, office space, and supporting mechanical, electrical and telecommunication spaces. The structural system will include deep or special foundations, grade beams, load bearing reinforced concrete masonry walls, and structural slabs. The GSE Holding Shed must provide 3,500 SF of covered storage, enclosed on 3 sides, that provides lay down and power for a 5,000 PSI power cart, within the 3500 SF enclosure. Include a bid option to provide overhead coiling doors as part of the project, refer to 00 22 13.00 20 Supplementary Instruction to Offerors for additional information. The structural system will be a pre-engineered metal building or steel frame or load-bearing concrete masonry units.
