Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-07.
This procurement is set aside for Total Small Business. The NAICS code is 336212 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1000.
The Pacific Southwest Region will use trailers to mobilize sensitive Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and related equipment for a variety of missions including incident response. Trailers must be custom built for off-road use. Specific requirements for operations are based on the following:
- Robust security, ample storage, and built to navigate both interstate and uneven off-highway terrain safely and effectively.
- Shore-power connections for equipment, and lighting for night operations.
- Insulation and air conditioning to provide a stable environment for batteries and other sensitive UAS equipment.
- Size must be at least 7’x12’. The trailer should not be any longer than 14’ to ensure maneuverability in difficult terrain.
- Robust construction for secure storage mounts and overall longevity.
- Trailers are needed as soon as possible for all-risk incident response. Partial deliveries upon construction completion acceptable. Target completion for full delivery within 60 days.
