Description

The USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20) requires the services of a company specializing in shipboard Elevator Control Systems to provide design and engineering services; and material to upgrade three (3) passenger elevator controllers.  The contractor will develop a Design Package for replacing the (3) existing damaged Passenger Elevator Controllers that shall consist of drawings, work items, calculations, advanced planning products, test procedures, and technical manuals.  The elevator controller shall meet all requirements for elevator inspection leading to certification for passenger use.  This new controller shall be applied to Passenger Elevators 2, 6, and 8 on board the USNS Comfort, with the intention that the controller design will be used in the future for all passenger elevators in the T-AH 19 class.  In addition to the controllers, the call panels on each deck and the control panels within each respective elevator car are to be updated to current technology.  The period of performance will be 20 Sept 2022 to 29 Sept 2023.  Ship check will be June 28-29, 2022 at the Alabama Shipyard.  Questions are due no later than 11:00am EST on 07 July 2022.  Quotes are due no later than 11:00am EST on 18 July 2022.  See attached RFQ Amendment 01 for further details.
