THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES.

This notice is for the issuance of a blanket purchase agreement call request on the “Region 10 Road Maintenance and Construction BPA”

This is a competitive request for quotes under a previously issued BPA.

We are not looking to add new contractors to the BPA at this time.

Description:

The intent of this contract is to provide safe access to Forest Service lands by providing road reconstruction on the Indian River Road System/ATV trail (NFSR 7500). The work includes all activities necessary to enable resource management activities along the roads in this project. The project includes Mobilization of Equipment to perform the work and consists of a base bid and 2 option items.

Base Bid

The work at the first site consists of removing landslide debris on roadway and the drainage area immediately above the roadway to restore the flow in a 48” CPP.  Replace the 48” CPP and reconstruct the roadway.  This site also requires 100 Cy of embankment with unclassified borrow and 100 Cy of unclassified borrow for surfacing work.  Placement method 3, finishing method A for unclassified borrow.

The second site consists of filling 220 Cy of road embankment with unclassified borrow and 40 CY of unclassified borrow for surfacing.  After reconstructing the road prism, install a 60’ ATV bridge, built in accordance with the drawings for a 60 ft bridge with 200 lb/sf snow load.  Use placement method 3, finishing method A for unclassified borrow.

The first rockpit MP 0.13, owned by City of Tenakee, can be used for material source.

Rock and aggregate removed from slide material can be incorporated into the repairs if it meets the specifications for the repair work.  No organic debris may be incorporated.

Option Work:

Option 1 –

Seven hours of equipment time in event of greater than expected road damage and culvert cleanout associated with the first site. If the option work is awarded, sections to be cleaned will be flagged by CO.

Option 2 –

Thirteen hours of equipment time in event of greater than expected road damage and culvert cleanout associated with the second site. If the option work is awarded, sections to be cleaned will be flagged by CO.

The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract.
