Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors who have the capability to provide Catholic Priest Services to Tomah VAMC, 500 E. Veterans Street Tomah, WI 54660-3105 as stated below. This is for Market Research purposes only. Chaplain duties will include but not be limited to the following: 1) The contracted Catholic Priest shall be on the Tomah VAMC campus weekly to provide one Catholic Mass service for Catholic Veterans. 2) While on site, the contracted Catholic Priest shall meet any identified Sacramental needs for Catholic Veterans to include, but not be limited to, Holy Communion, Reconciliation and Last Rites. 3) The Sacramental Ministry shall not exceed three (3) hours on any one day. COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS OF CONTRACT PERSONNEL: A. Contractor must be an Ordained Catholic Priest who possesses an ecclesiastical endorsement, from the official national endorsing authority of their faith group or denomination. The ecclesiastical endorsement is a written official statement, by the official national endorsing body of the faith group or denomination, certifying that the applicant is in good standing with the applicant's group or denomination; and stating that the individual is, in the opinion of the endorsing body, qualified to perform the full range of ministry required in the VA pluralistic setting. B. The Ordained Catholic Priest shall have the training of their religious faith group that is in keeping with their established standards. C. The contractor who performs the services covered by this contract shall be proficient in written and spoken English. D. Contractor must have experience working within the VA hospital setting and/or other hospital settings.
