Description

The U.S Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award to LG Tech, LLC, 555 Madison Ave 5th Floor, New York, NY 10022 to acquire service to decommission the UHF Radio Site. They are the sole source manufacturer that is familiar with the site and has authority to do the work and gain access to the required site.  The Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) recently was directed to divest from the AMOC UHF Radio Network and tasked with identifying those sites to be decommissioned.  It should be noted that CBP leases the space where the UHF components are located and does not own the towers to which they are attached.  It is at the private property owner’s discretion to prescribe designated service vendors with whom they have granted exclusive access to their respective property.  As such, LG Tech LLC, which also required vetting by CBP, is the intended vendor to perform this requirement.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with LG Tech LLC.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  While CBP recognizes industry-wide capabilities to deliver such services, this effort must be supported by a vendor with granted site access to adhere to the security and safety measures established by the property owner of the above site.
