Description
The Angeles National Forest is seeking a qualified and licensed contractor for the installation of a new sewer line to connect the barracks at Oak Flat Fire Station, 38001 Golden State Highway Castaic, CA 91384, to an existing septic system. Work will also include trenching, installing cleanouts and pipe, rehabilitating the existing. tank, and assessing the existing lines including the four lines of the leach field. Optional items include decommissioning of the barracks former septic system and repairing any damage to lines between the tank and leach field that will now be used. At closeout of the contract, Contractor will provide the Government with a set of as-built drawings showing the components of the entire septic system.
The existing septic system at Oak Flat Fire Station is not properly functioning due to age and a high-water table. There is a nearby septic system to utilize with 2,000-gallon tank and 4 leach lines that was installed in 2009 for a trailer pad. The system has not been in use ever since the residence was sold and is now in the process of being relocated by the new owner. The septic tank was investigated in May and found to be in good condition with an expected amount of standing water.
