Description
This is a notice of intent to award a brand name contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), “Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available”. The contracting officer has determined that only one brand, Marco Ophthalmology, is capable of meeting the requirement without the Government incurring significant additional costs.
The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for two (2) Digital Refractors and two (2) Acuity Chart Systems, as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
The NAICS code for this requirement is 333314, with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent to award a brand name source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be released for this requirement in the near future.
