Description

The USDA Forest Service, Washington Office for International Programs is seeking Basic health and life insurance services for eligible individuals in the International Visitor Program. These individuals may come from anywhere in the world to visit the United States.  
The coverage under this follow-on solicitation will be for basic health/accident insurance meetings or exceeding coverage standards for J-1 Exchange Visitor programs, which might be offered to individuals or families on short- or long-term programs in the United States. All policies must include coverage for program participants and their dependents, which meets the minimum insurance coverage standards of the U.S. Department of State Exchange Visitor (J-1) Program. These can be found in the Code of Federal Regulations: 22 CFR 62.14 or on the U.S. Department of State website at:  
http://exchanges.state.gov/education/jexchanges/administration.htm#insurance. 
The resulting contract type will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity, indefinite-delivery contract. Multiple awards may be made. The contract will include a base period plus four option periods. The minimum guarantee is $3,000.00, and the overall maximum is $1,000,000.00 over the life of the contract. The solicitation should be posted on or before 2/26/2024. 
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 524114, and the size standard is $47 million annually.
