MK 45 Waterfront Support

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) Level-of-Effort (LOE) modification under N00024-19-C-5301 to increase the LOE to BAE Systems Land and Armaments LP. (BAE) of 4800 E River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55421. BAE is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge and background of the 5-inch MK 45 Gun System to perform these requirements. The contract action will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This contract will provide for Engineering, Logistical, Technical, and Waterfront Support for the 5-inch MK 45 Gun. This support includes assistance in planning, installation, testing, checkout, operation, disassembly, Standard Pier-side Maintenance and Repair (SPMR) of Gun Mounts. This effort is required to support the Aegis Modernization program, Destroyer New Construction, Engineering Change Proposals/ Ordnance Alterations installation, Shipboard Pier-side Maintenance and Repair program, and system obsolescence.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. However, all expressions of interest received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government - the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
