J6 Connectors

The United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Eglin AFB, FL is currently conducting market research seeking capabilities statement from potential sources, including large and small businesses that are capable of providing Connectors Part Number MD2-60ST-SMT. All interested vendors shall submit a response demonstrating their capability to supply or manufacture these connectors to the primary point of contact listed below.

The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement if a requirement materializes.

PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED OR ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. AS STIPULATED IN FAR 15.201(e), RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE ARE NOT CONSIDERED OFFERS AND CANNOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO FORM A BINDING CONTRACT. NO SOLICITATION (REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL) EXISTS AT THIS TIME; THEREFORE, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. THE DECISION TO SOLICIT FOR A CONTRACT SHALL BE SOLELY WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT’S DISCRETION.

ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS VOLUNTARY. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. RESPONDENTS WILL NOT BE INDIVIDUALLY NOTIFIED OF THE RESULTS OF ANY GOVERNMENT ASSESSMENTS.

The NAICS Code assigned to this Sources Sought Notification is 334417, Electronic Connector Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1000 employees or 423690, Other Electronic Parts and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers, with a size standard of 250 employees.

All interested vendors shall submit a very brief capabilities statement and rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing that demonstrates their capability to supply or manufacture these connectors. Verbal responses will NOT be accepted.

Responses should include:

1. Company Information: Name, address, telephone number point of contact names, an e-mail address.
2. Respondents should indicate their size in relation to this size standard and indicate socio-economic status (i.e. SB, 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, or SDVOSB). 
3. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/Foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort.

Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following e-mail address: elona.jarrell.1@us.af.mil. All correspondence sent via email shall contain a subject line that reads SOURCES SOUGHT FOR J6 CONNECTORS. If this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through e-mail filters at Eglin AFB. Filters are designed to delete emails without a subject or with a suspicious subject or attachment. Attachments with files ending in .zip or .exe are not allowable and will be deleted. Ensure only .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xsls, or .xls documents are attached to your email. All other attachments may be deleted.

Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submission become Government property and will not be returned. All Government and contract personal reviewing sources sought responses will have signed non-disclosure agreements and understand their responsibility for proper use and protection from unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information as described 41 USC 423. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified.
