The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Network Contracting Office One (NCO 1) intends to issue a sole source award to small business contractor Vergent Power Solutions for Capstone Microturbine Maintenance and Repair Service at Veterans Health Administration for the Central Western Massachusetts VAMC, located in Leeds, MA. The intent of this procurement is to award based on sole source requirement due to the proprietary nature of this acquisition. Vergent Power Solutions is the only authorized and certified vendor that can provide this service. The Leeds VA Medical Center is seeking a qualified Vendor with the capability of provided services to the existing Capstone Microturbine. Services include all-inclusive maintenance, repair, and warranty. The OEM Capstone only utilizes authorized vendors and Vergent Power is the only authorized distributor for service and parts on this specialized piece of equipment. This equipment operates at extreme temperatures and rotational speeds requiring specialized experience and knowledge of its proprietary design available in the Massachusetts area. This purchase will be made under procedures as authorized by FAR 13. This notice is neither a request for quote nor a solicitation for offers. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement for possible consideration in future procurements by the Government to Craig.Harris@va.gov no later than 11:00am EST 20 September 2022.
