Description

The project renovates the historic Marine Barracks, Washington: Quarters 6 (15,984 SF) at 8th and I Streets in Washington D.C. Quarters 6 is the residence of the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps. The scope of the project was determined by a condition assessment (MBW Government Officers Quarters 3 & 6 Comprehensive Study, April 2021) performed by an architectural and engineering firm. The repairs include structural, architectural, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical repairs, as well as antiterrorism upgrades and hazardous material abatement. Construction shall start in FY22.
