Debakey VAMC in Houston, Texas, has a requirement titled " Renovate ER Fast Track Space for project number 580-20-118, per issue for construction Drawings and Specifications. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). At least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel shall be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns. This scope of work for the project involves the renovation of 3 areas of the existing Emergency Department, for a total of approximately 4,153 SF. Phase 1A, an administrative area of approximately 670 SF will be renovated for a staff locker and breakroom, along with a unisex staff toilet room. Phase 1B, involves the renovation of another existing administrative area of approximately 1,100 SF for 3 private offices, 1 shared office for 3, and 3 workstations. Phase 2, being the largest area will involve the renovation of approximately 2,383 SF of existing administrative space for 6 Fast Track rooms plus 1 Treatment room and related support. All construction work must adhere to the latest JCAHO, NFPA, and life safety requirements. All construction work must be performed without affecting medical center s operations. Solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, will be available electronically on or about October 24, 2022, on this website. Hard copies will not be mailed. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. ADDITIONALLY, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS TO THE SOLICITATION NOTICE. A 90 - day proposal acceptance period will be required. A bid bond must be submitted with the proposal. Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the contractor receiving the award. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 million in average annual receipts for the past three (3) years.
