6640--Intent to Sole Source Notice: Evolis Bio-Rad Testing Kits, Reagents and Supplies - Brand Name Only

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center Laboratories in Albany, NY intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 Competition Requirements and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to: Government Scientific Source, Inc. 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive Reston, Virginia 20191 The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price contract with a base year and four option years (April 01, 2024 through March 30, 2029) to acquire kits, reagents, and disposable supplies for the detection of Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and Antinuclear antibodies from samples gathered from the five Upstate New VA Medical Centers Laboratories. The Microbiology Laboratories currently own and utilize the Bio-Rad Evolis System and are seeking only compatible reagents and supplies to be used with the Bio-Rad Evolis System. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels. The below table lists the Items required by the Samuel S. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government.
