Description

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnisheffort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified withinthis document. The Government intends to solicit as full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit for theprocurement of: NSN 1377-01-246-5279, DODIC MT29, NOMEN MK122 Parachute Deployment Rocket Motor (PDRM), MOD 0,DWG 844AS504 NSN 1377-01-246-5280, DODIC MT30, NOMEN MK123 Underseat Rocket Motor (USRM), DWG 844AS550 NSN 1377-01-246-5281, DODIC MT31, NOMEN MK124 Underseat Rocket Motor (USRM), DWG 844AS450 First Article testing will apply. Contractor production lot testing will apply. Product Description: The parachute deployment rocket motor (MT29) extracts and deploys the mainpersonnel parachute on Martin-Baker SJU-17/A series ejection seats used on EA-18G, F/A-18A/C/D/E/F, andT-45 aircraft during the ejection sequence. The Underseat Rocket Motors (MT30/MT31) augment the upwardthrust of the catapult in Martin Baker SJU-17/A series ejection seats. The government does possess the data necessary to perform the required manufacture of the item. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to thisnotice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received prior to the closing date of this sources sought notice will be considered bythe Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based uponresponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
