Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract for LHRS Stern Door Parts

The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, FL. intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisitions Procedures to Lake Shore Systems, Inc. (dba Trident Maritime Systems, Heavy Equipment Group). Trident Maritime Systems. (an Other Than Small Business) is the only Authorized Service and Material provider for the Stern Door and associated parts as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The requirement is required repair during the USS St. Louis (LCS 19) Continual Maintenance Availability (CMAV) at Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC), Mayport, FL. This sole-source acquisition meets the conditions under Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full Competition under 41 U.S. C. 1901(e)2, Special Rules for Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) and is not a request for competitive quotes, however all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements should contact kenneth.b.brown4@navy.mil. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or an invitation to bid. Delivery Date: NLT April 2023 Interested parties may identify their interest of this requirement and submit product information in response to this notice by January 18, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T. via email to kenneth.b.brown24.civ@us.navy,nil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. If no written responses are received by 4:00 p.m. E.S.T, January 18, 2023, the contract will be solicited without further notice. It is anticipated that any resulting solicitation will be for a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with a Product Service Code (PSC) 2040 and a NAICS of 332510 with a size standard of 750 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government that obtaining this service through a sole-source contract, then a sole-source acquisition will be made.
