Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is issuing solicitation 15BFA022B00000006 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Waste Lines at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC San Diego), located in San Diego, California.
MCC San Diego is a federal correctional facility located at 808 Union Street San Diego, CA 92101. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the Replace Waste Lines. The project consists of the following:
1. Demolition:
a. Partial demolition to framed walls and ceiling for pipe access.
b. Removal of corroded and damaged waste and vent pipes.
2. New Work:
a. Repairing and reframing framed walls.
b. Replacement of damaged waste and vent pipes.
c. Clean up of waste pipes.

Site Visit: An organized site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. local time. Criminal History Check forms due by Wednesday, March 11, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. local time to kball@bop.gov. Participants will meet at 808 Union Street San Diego, CA 92101.
The performance period for the project will be 377 Calendar Days from issuance of the notice to proceed.
The NAICS code for this requirement is 237110 with a corresponding small business size standard of $39.5 million. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
