Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Agilent Technologies, to provide one annual maintenance, unlimited on-phone technical and operational support, technical help with experimental set up and data analysis, and software upgrade, for both the Seahorse and Cytation Instruments. Agilent Technologies will also keep these instruments to industry standards, and provide labor and parts required for instrument repairs on a priority basis when required.
The Seahorse instrument measures metabolic profiles of cells, and the Cytation 7 is an integrated imager and plate reader. The Seahorse unit consists of touch screen standalone computer along with hardware for measuring the metabolic profiles of cells. The cytation7 consists of a unit that contains hardware for reading and imaging cells on a plate, along with hardware and software for analysis.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by the deadline will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at UCA9@cdc.gov by 12:00pm 7 September, 2023.
