Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Rolls Royce, Bristol, United Kingdom (CAGE: K0378) for the manufacture and delivery of 104 different part numbers in varying quantities (attached) to support T-45 F405-RR-401 Engine maintenance at NASM and NASK. The engine support equipment will be utilized to remove and inspect at-risk Low Pressure Turbine modules utilizing the existing Balancing Machines, to dress the engine as required and to support the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP). The Government does not possess rights to the drawings and technical data for T-45 F405-RR-401 Engine PSE.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
