Description

* October 20, 2022:  Solicitation amended (0005), additional Industry questions with Government responses posted.

The Fixed Wing Project Office (FW PO) has a requirement to procure life
cycle services for the Government-owned fixed wing fleet performing Transport
Aircraft (TA) missions and currently comprised of the following small weight class
aircraft models: C-12, C-26, T-6, and UC-35. The life cycle services efforts are
currently being performed on a total of 150 aircraft located at up to 77 physical
locations worldwide. These life cycle services are required as the U.S. Army
divested all of its organic fixed wing maintenance capability in 1996 and does not
plan to re-establish it. This life cycle services effort includes aviation maintenance
and logistical support; heavy maintenance and overhaul; airworthiness, safety, and
quality assurance; program management; systems engineering; retirement,
divestment, and disposal; and base operations support. Personnel required to
perform these services include certified aerospace technicians, mechanics,
logisticians, program managers, engineers, quality personnel, and, intermittently,
pilots.
