The Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (LBMB) within the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) uses one (1) DeltaVision OMX Research Microscope System with Blaze SIM Module to conduct cutting-edge microscopy to investigate the underlying mechanisms of chromosome biology.

The Office of Acquisitions (OA) plans to procure, on a sole source basis, maintenance services for this specialized confocal microscope from Leica Microsystems, Inc. (1700 Leider Lane Buffalo Grove, IL 60089).

The response close date of this notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(1). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 – Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial acquisitions.  The North American Industry Classification System code is 811219 – Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.
