Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) mission is to develop and produce United States currency notes, trusted worldwide. BEP’s vision is to be the world standard securities printer providing its customers and the public with superior products through excellence in manufacturing and innovation. The BEP also prints miscellaneous Presidential Certificates, Consular Report of Birth Abroad Certificates, United States Passports, and Citizenship Certificates as well as many other miscellaneous documents for the Pentagon, White House, Food and Drug Administration, and the Bureau of Engraving & Printing Public Sales Office.
As a part of the printing process, High Speed Polar Cutters are used to cut security papers for printing aforementioned miscellaneous documents. These cutters are an essential item for the cutting of the type of paper utilized by BEP.
FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (APR 1984)
Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government’s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
