Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to award an order for the procurement of long lead critical items for Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs). This effort will include the procurment of critical items for WRAs for repair for a subsequent delivery order for Fiscal Years 2025 through 2029, along with a period of performance extension of 6 months to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sourceto Northrup Grumman System Corporation (NGSC) in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements" for the proposed contract action. This contract is a follow on contract for the repair of WRAs to a major system and an award to any other source other than NGC would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
