BOILER UNIT REPLACEMENT –

Answer: Yes it needs to be insulated.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp, Bryan, TX intends to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for the requirement of replacement of boiler.
(I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(II) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Submit written quotes on RFQ
Number 15B50424Q00000001.
(III) This solicitation is being issued as a total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 238220. The small business size standard is $19.0 Million.
The contract type is a firm-fixed price. Solicitation has been set aside for Total Small Business.
(IV) This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial services:
BOILER UNIT REPLACEMENT
CLIN 0001: SERVICES, NON-PERSONAL, CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH ALL LABOR,
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO remove and REPLACE existing Boiler at FPC Bryan, Bryan, Texas. in accordance with the Statement of Work.
Period of Performance: 364 calendar days after receipt of award.
With an expectation of supplies being received within 120 days
(V) Description of requirements is as follows:

(VI) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance:
Period of performance shall be: 120 calendar days after receipt of award.
Place of Performance shall be: FPC Bryan, 1100 Ursuline, Bryan, Texas 778038
CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO Remove and REPLACE existing Boiler
(VII) Quotes are required to be received in the contracting office no later than 2:00PM CST on
09/18/2024. All quotes must be submitted electronically via email to
HBUCK@BOP.GOV.
(IX) Any questions regarding this solicitation should be submitted electronically via email to

VENDORS WHO DO NOT PROVIDE ALL EVALUATION CRITERIA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
QUOTES RECEIVED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ARE NOT ACTIVE IN SAM WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
THE OFFEROR MUST BE CURRENLTY REGISTERED IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM) TO BE ELGIBLE FOR AN AWARD.

QUESTIONS SHOULD BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN SEP 12, 2024. Any responses to questions will be made in writing, without identification of the questioner, and will be included in an amendment to the solicitation. Even if provided in other form, only the question responses included in the amendment to the solicitation will govern performance of the contract.

Offerors or quoter(s) are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, which is considered most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.sam.gov. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer, which will be considered for award. The due date is September 18, 2024, 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. The solicitation will be distributed solely through SAM.GOV . Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions.
