INTRODUCTION:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is pleased to announce that it has awarded a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Madison VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, WI 53705.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Madison VAMC sought a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Madison VAMC. This project includes, but not be limited to general construction, the replacement of all telecommunications cable, outlets, and associated equipment for multiple buildings on the Madison VA campus. All work will be performed consistent with provided drawings and specifications.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

The solicitation was issued as a “Invitation for Bid” (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and was evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation was advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns were not considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code was 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation was issued in mid-February of 2023. The period of performance was approximately 600 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction was between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000.
