Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to All Things Identification, 200 E. Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37804.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-2, because of an unusual and compelling urgency, full and open competition is precluded and a delay in award of a contract would result in NIH’s security measures and policies being compromised.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the National Institutes of Health, Office of Research Services, Security and Emergency Response Services anticipates issuing a purchase order to All Things Identification for 4 x 3 plastic sleeve holders with bulldog clips.  To process all visitors through the NIH Entry Point system, a visitor badge must be issued.  The badges must be a specific size to meet the requirements of the TC-300 printer.  The printer is used to create the thermal printed badge from the Entry Point systems. Supplies for the four visitor processing locations at the NIH Bethesda Campus have reached a critically low level of badge holder which could drastically impact daily visitor processing operations if the inventory is not immediately replenished.  The NIH Campus Access and Security policy requires security measures to ensure the safety of patients, employees, guests, and facilities.  All visitors must enter through the NIH Gateway Center to gain access to the NIH Campus.  Due to the unexpected depletion of the current inventory of plastic holders, it is necessary to make an urgent purchase.  Future requirements for plastic holders will be competed.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.  However, any party that believes it can meet the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that demonstrates its ability to provide the specified item.  A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.

Please email responses to zetherine.gore@nih.hhs.gov no later than 12:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
