Description
Perform Record Digitization of Documents for Norfolk Naval Shipyard Building
Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled “Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes,” this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under NAICS code 541611, Administrative Management and General Management Services with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement.
Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Contracting Department is issuing this sources sought request for information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a contract for the purchase of the installation of the dust collector being delivered to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth VA.
Based on the responses to this Sources Sought Notice/Market Research, this requirement may be set-aside for Small Businesses (in FULL or in PART) or procured through full and open competition. The intention is to procure this requirement on a competitive basis.
Approximately 230,000 pages of documents are to be scanned, post-processed and indexed. Items to be scanned include standard 8.5”x11” sheets of paper, photographs and large technical drawings that do not exceed 11”x17” in size. Documents include old “onion skin” sheets of paper dating back to ~1920’s era and will require flatbed scanning with additional care to prevent damage.
• 300dpi bitonal (with color detection ON) multipage searchable PDF per file folder named by series of numbers on file folder tab.
• File PDF shall provide the ability to search contents of the scanned text.
• All scanning must be done onsite at client site; post processing, indexing, QC may be done offsite pending security approval.
• Price shall be quoted per page with the ability to add additional documents if required.
• Deliver client sign off sample before proceeding with project.
• Delivery of final project on external hard drives, redundant copies on 3 separate hard drives shall be provided.
All scanning must take place onsite at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth VA.
This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.
A determination of the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
If a solicitation is released at a future date, it will be synopsized on the SAM website. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
